One Room Challenge: Wk.5

So Week 5 of @oneroomchallenge has been busy. Finally starting to make some serious headway. Yay! A few stumbles along the way but powered through.
✅The missing slipcovers arrived. Thank you @homedepot.
✅The Fandolier arrived. I love it!
✅Did a supply run to HD to purchase the paint for walls, ceiling, trim and floor plus some “miscellaneous”. Seriously. Can anyone ever leave HD without that all important “miscellaneous”?
❎Still had to saw some of the lumber with my new 15” handsaw 🪚even after HD cut them. Made a couple of oops measurements so my daughter went back for more nails and wood. 😬
✅And so I don’t have to go up and down the 🪜so many times to retrieve tools, she surprised me with my very own, McGuire-Nicholas, 11-Pocket, Leather Apron otherwise known as a tool belt! May not be a fashion statement but if I ever remember where everything goes, it will save time. Have to admit, am seriously thinking about adding some bling to it, like rhinestones and pearls maybe?😉
✅Installed all the 1x12s, 1x3s and lattice over the last two days to finally finish the revamped ceiling and fascia.

It’s so exciting to see it start to come together but working overhead was a killer. My neck and shoulders are screaming. Tylenol and @doterra Deep Blue are definitely my new best friends.

Next will be demoing and installing the screen wall and door 😳but first … am taking a day off! 😎 See you soon and thanks for following me. 😊
