Though my Mom nudged me to be a nurse as far back as I can remember, she also encouraged my interest in art. I definitely had talent and was a creative child. And being around Mom made me more so. She was incredibly creative and it always seemed to me that there was nothing she couldn’t do.
Even though I initially went to school to be a nurse, it’s really no surprise I ended up in interior design. I come from a long line of creatives and do-it-yourselfers. Growing up there was always a project going on at my house or at the house of one of my extended family members who lived nearby.
aThis last week of @oneroomchallenge has been a sprint to the finish line! And believe me, at 70 I don’t do sprints, but wow, there was no time to spare.
Feel like I blinked and Week 7 was over! The weather improved and so did I. 😊 Feel like I blinked and Week 7 was over! The weather improved and so did I. Framed out screen porch wall. Discovered that I had to add a 1x4 to the 2x4 top plate to increase thickness in order to install Screen Tight tracks…
Welp! Week 6 of the @oneroomchallenge was nothing short of a real challenge! Mother Nature decided to whip up some 35 mph wind gusts and sustained winds of 22 mph along with buckets of rain and cold temps to keep things interesting. And? I was sick with a cold. Not a fun week but managed to get things done.
So Week 5 of @oneroomchallenge has been busy. Finally starting to make some serious headway. Yay! A few stumbles along the way but powered through.
It’s Week 4 of the @oneroomchallenge and time is flying by way too fast! Had to put the @hamptonbay furniture together to be sure there was no damage or missing parts. It was a little more challenging than expected and took all day because of interruptions but got it done. 👍🏻I love it!!
It’s Week 3 of @oneroomchallenge and I’m definitely the 🐢 in the race getting to the finish line … which is only 5 weeks away so YIKES! 😳 Oh well, someone has to be last right? 😉.
